About Our Ingredients:
More Science. Fewer Hot Flashes.
GeniVida® (non-soy 99% pure genistein): Why does Kühl Care® contain 30mg/d of geniVida®?
Swiss Science. Clinically Tested.
GeniVida®, the 99% pure, soy-free form of the isoflavone genistein, has been found clinically to provide relief from hot flashes in 9 out of 10 women users.1 GeniVida® has also been shown to help diminish other common symptoms of menopause such as night sweats, irritability, difficulty sleeping, sexual problems and difficulty concentrating. In fact, 25% of women in a double blind, placebo controlled study, geniVida® had an 85% reduction or greater in hot flashes after 12 weeks of use.
The most recent and scientifically significant, double-blind, and placebo-controlled study for the management of menopause symptoms was conducted using 30mg of geniVida®.2 Over a period of 12 weeks, researchers examined women between the ages of 40 and 65 who were experiencing 40 or more hot flashes per week. The study demonstrated a highly significant statistical difference in the reduction of hot flashes and night sweats in the experimental group (women who received 30mg of geniVida® per day) vs. the control group (women who received a placebo). Women who took geniVida® saw an average of a 51% improvement in hot flashes over the course of the study.
In an in-home use study based on 215 participants experiencing menopausal sympttoms and not currently using Hormone Replacement Therapy, 30mg of geniVida® provided relief from a wide variety of menopausal symptoms shown below†:
Menopause symptom reduction from 30mg of geniVida® over the course of the 6 and 12 week study, respectively, showed as follows:
What is geniVida®?
GeniVida® is 99% pure, non-soy genistein from Switzerland, making it the purest and most effective form of genistein available. Research has proven that genistein, one of the three naturally-occurring isoflavones found in the soybean, has the most considerable positive effect on menopause symptoms out of the three forms of soy isoflavones. A placebo-controlled study published in Menopause: The Journal of The North American Menopause Society examined 389 women over the course of 1 year and showed an average hot flash reduction in women taking the supplement, genistein, by 56.6%.3 Kühl Care® contains 30mg of the purest form of genistein available, GeniVida®, to bring you the highest quality, clinically researched genistein available anywhere.
Genistein is the key isoflavone:
•The level of genistein appears to be important in the efficacy of the supplement.
•Recently published critical review, analyzing 11 studies with various isoflavone doses:
–In five studies with more than 15 mg genistein per treatment, there was a statistically significant decrease in hot flash symptoms.
–In six studies with less than 15 mg genistein per treatment, only one reported a statistically significant decrease in hot flash symptoms.
“Thus, the reduction in hot flashes was related to genistein dose, not total isoflavone content of the treatments.”

Is geniVida® safe?
GeniVida® has been shown in numerous peer-reviewed clinical studies to be safe for human consumption.
Standardized Black Cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa): Why does Kühl Care® contain 40mg/d of Black Cohosh?
Real Research. Real Relief.
The North American herb black cohosh (cimicifuga caremosa) has been used for centuries by women to help ease the symptoms of menopause. The unique, triple-action formula of Kühl Care® is complete with 40mg of black cohosh because the most recent randomized, multicenter, double-blind clinical trial of the herb demonstrated effectiveness in relieving the menopause symptoms of hot flashes, irritability, memory problems, and vaginal dryness in 304 women at this dosage level.4 Higher dosage levels have been shown to cause higher frequency of stomach upset in patients without added clinical benefits.
The Proprietary Kühl Care® K+ Nutrient Complex™:
Inositol (400mg)
Say “Good-Bye” to Mood Swings.
Inositol, a B vitamin, is commonly known as “nature’s tranquilizer.” Kühl Care® is formulated with 400mg of pure inositol because of its uplifting effects on mood, anxiety, and stress levels. Inositol also helps promotes restful sleep, healthy skin and hair, and a healthy metabolic rate. In her book, The Wisdom of Menopause, doctor, author and menopause expert Christiane Northrup, M.D. recommends up to 500mg of inositol per day to help manage menopause symptoms.
Other sources of Inositol: Wheat, wheat bran, cantaloupe, oranges, nuts, beans, cabbage and raisins.
Boron (3mg)
Feel More Balanced.
Boron is an essential trace mineral that assists the body in the processing of necessary nutrients. Optimal levels of boron in the body allow your cells and tissues to properly utilize the vitamins, minerals, and proteins that you’re getting from all the foods that you eat already eat. This could indicate why many menopausal women notice symptom relief by adding boron to their diets. Some studies have even found that consuming boron supplements can raise estrogen levels as much as estrogen replacement therapy in women. Boron also works with calcium to help keep bones strong.
Other sources of Boron: Nuts (almonds, brazil nuts cashews, walnuts, peanuts), dates, raisins, prunes, red kidney beans and apricots,
Magnesium (50mg)
Be More Energetic.
Magnesium was included in the Kühl Care® proprietary blend of vitamins and minerals because it helps fights fatigue, a symptom commonly associated with menopause. Crucial to the body’s function and involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions, 68% of Americans consume less than the recommended daily allowance of the mineral magnesium5. When one’s body is deficient in magnesium, bodily functions slow at the cellular level, and you begin to notice both physical and mental signs of fatigue. The 50mg of magnesium in will help maintain adequate levels of energy to help you get through your day.
Other sources of Magnesium: Whole grains, dark green leafy vegetables, nuts, milk and dairy products, meat and fish, and dried cooked beans (especially soy beans).
Folic Acid (400mg)
Experience more “Happy Days.”
Folic Acid, the synthetic form of the vitamin folate, can be incredibly beneficial in improving depression associated with menopause. The meta-analysis conducted by Morris et al. titled Folate and Unipolar Depression in 2008 discusses numerous studies finding a correlation between low folate levels and higher rates of depression.6 To explain these findings, folic acid has been connected to the processing of serotonin (the “feel good” hormone) in the brain, which explains why it helps to relieve depression symptoms.
Other sources of Folic Acid: Leafy green vegetables, legumes, egg yolks, sunflower seeds, baker’s yeast, berries and melons.
Calcium (100mg)
Support Your Bones Because They Support You.
We all know that calcium is important to keep bones strong, but calcium becomes crucial during our menopausal years when lack of estrogen causes our bones to become weaker. Numerous studies have shown that calcium supplementation can help keep bones strong and reduce the risk of fractures. Adequate levels of calcium in your diet will also help protect your teeth from decay.
Other sources of Calcium: Milk, yogurt, and other dairy products, salmon, tofu, spinach, broccoli, fortified juices and cereals.
Vitamin E (200 IU)
Fewer Hot Flashes. More Youthful Skin.
The unique Kühl Care® formula includes 200 IU of Vitamin E based on recent double-blind clinical trial finding that vitamin E is statistically better than placebo in reducing hot flashes in postmenopausal women.7 This study gives validity to the countless women who have been using vitamin E to help control their hot flashes for over 70 years. Studies published by the American Academy of Dermatology have also shown that supplementation with vitamin E appears to reduce the risk of dermatological sun damage and reduce the production of cancer-causing skin cells.
Other sources of Vitamin E: Almonds, spinach, sunflower seeds, bell peppers, collard greens, blueberries, olives, tomatoes, and broccoli.
Vitamin A (000 IU)
Feel Firmer, Moister Skin.
Vitamin A can help aid in the fight against uncomfortable vaginal dryness and increased risk of urinary tract and vaginal infections brought on by low estrogen levels due to menopause. Vitamin A does this through regulating the immune system by making white blood cells, and maintaining lubrication by helping the mucous membranes function properly. As an added bonus, vitamin A will help keep your skin healthy and supple- a real plus when collagen levels drop due to lowered levels of estrogen.
Other sources of Vitamin A: Liver, cod liver oil or other fish liver oils, egg yolks, spinach and other dark green leafy vegetables, cheese, and fortified milk products.
Vitamin C (000 IU)
See Smoother, Younger Looking Skin.
Recent dermatological discoveries have shown that vitamin C can help prevent and possibly reverse wrinkles and other signs of aging. Vitamin C counters the effects of sun exposure, fighting free radicals such as smoke, pollution, and the sun. These free radicals deplete collagen and elastin in your skin, causing it to wrinkle and sag. With the help of vitamin C in in the Kühl Care® triple action formula, you can look as great as you feel!
Other sources of Vitamin C: Chili peppers, broccoli, lychee, persimmons, strawberries and other berries, oranges and other citrus fruits, and spinach.
Vitamin D3 (400 IU)
Support Strong Bones.
Studies show that Vitamin D is vital for maintaining healthy bones, and most experts believe that the majority adults do not get enough Vitamin D in their diets. Vitamin D helps utilize calcium and phosphorous, the primary building blocks of your bones. Vitamin D3, the body’s preferred form of the vitamin, is most reliably ingested orally and eliminates your risk for ultra-violet induced skin cancer and photo aging when compared with attempting to get adequate levels of vitamin D through sun exposure.8
Other Sources of Vitamin D: Fatty fish (salmon, sardines, herring), fortified milk and other dairy products, egg yolks, fortified cereals and bread.
Vitamin B6 (10mg)
Say “Good-Bye” To Mood Swings.
Many women who have reached menopause suffer from depression and mood swings because of a lack of the Vitamin B6. B6 is responsible for converting tryptophan into serotonin (the happy hormone) in the brain. Fluctuating hormone levels are the cause for the decrease in your body’s level of the vitamin, but your body’s B6 levels and mood can be restored through the supplementation provided in the Kühl Care® formula.
Other Sources of Vitamin B6: Chickpeas, tuna, salmon, potatoes, beef liver, turkey, bananas, cottage cheese, and fortified cereals.
